Basalt Ridge on Flood Lava Field This picture and the next are of the Cerro del Rio lava feild. This field, though near the Jemez, is not part of the Jemez lineament. It is part of the Rio Grande rift zone. On the right side of this picture the ridge sort of dips. This is the partial remains of a Maar type volcano. The rest was eroded by the river.
